Finding Yourself in the Hundred Acre Wood

By E.H. Shepard

If we walked together through the Hundred Acre Wood we would likely meet four familiar characters – Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Rabbit and Eeyore. They were first introduced by A.A. Milne in 1926, when he published Winnie-the-Pooh. Though almost 90 years old, these furry friends are no less loved now than they were then. Did you realize that each character displays one of the four basic temperament types?

  • Lovable, easy-going, peace-loving Pooh
  • Energetic, life-is-a-party, people-loving Tigger
  • Organized, efficient, project-loving Rabbit
  • Reflective,analytical, privacy-loving Eeyore

Which one best describes you?

I will be sharing about the four temperaments at Cornerstone Christian Church on February 27. Come and discover the wonder of you, uniquely created with a temperament all your own. As we examine the self-portrait we’ve painted over the years, we will replace misconceptions and errant brush strokes with the truth of God’s Word. It’s time to restore your self-portrait to reflect God’s design!
